AZA GREEN LOGISTICS ("AZAGL") is a Canadian-based consultancy with a forward-looking vision to bridge international markets through strategic partnerships and sectoral expertise. We are currently seeking a Business Development Officer for Business Development & Cross-Border Strategy to lead our strategic market expansion efforts. This role is pivotal in identifying high-potential sectors, cultivating partnerships across South East Asian markets, and positioning AZAGL as a trusted advisor to both Canadian and Southeast Asian organizations. The role is entrepreneurial in nature and offers wide-ranging strategic autonomy. It also includes the potential to launch and scale a regional office in Southeast Asia, supporting local hiring and long-term client engagement.
Eligibility Requirement

Experience
Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered asset
- Business development, international expansion, or cross-border partnership strategy
- Market research, sector analysis, or new market entry planning
- Collaboration with private companies, government agencies, or trade associations in emerging markets
- Project execution or consultancy work in startup or high-growth environments
- Exposure to Southeast Asian markets is considered an asset
- Familiarity with regional business culture and/or proficiency in local languages is highly valued
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Economics, or a related field
- Additional certifications in global strategy, entrepreneurship, or trade policy are considered assets
On Site
- May be based in Canada with regular travel to Southeast Asia, or
- May be relocated internationally by AZAGL
- The role requires physical presence for meetings, relationship building, and project development

Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate high-potential sectors for AZAGL to explore or enter within Southeast Asia
- Build and maintain relationships with businesses, industry bodies, and government stakeholders
- Discover and develop cross-border partnership opportunities between Southeast Asia and Canada
- Provide market insights and support Southeast Asian companies interested in Canadian market access
- Represent AZAGL at business forums, international expos, and cross-border networking events
- Draft strategic proposals, briefing notes, and partnership documents
- Lead planning and operational setup for a future regional office, including local team recruitment
- Provide regular insights and strategic reporting to Canadian leadership
- Advise on business customs, regulatory environments, and localization strategy
- Proactively engage with diverse industries to identify unmet needs and propose AZAGL's consultancy or intermediary services, connecting clients across trade, shipping, HR, and IT sectors
- Explore and develop new business verticals or service areas aligned with AZAGL's cross-border vision and client demands
Employment Conditions
- Full-time (typically 30+ hours/week), permanent
- This position is expected to work flexible hours and may occasionally exceed 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week, in accordance with applicable employment standards and overtime regulations.

Compensation
This is a performance-driven role with a base monthly compensation ranging from $2500 to $4900 depending on experience, qualifications, and results achieved. Entry-level candidates may start at the lower end of the range, while high-performing individuals who demonstrate leadership in expanding business opportunities — especially across international markets — may progress rapidly toward the top bracket. Commission incentives and stock/share options may be available based on milestones and revenue contributions.
